Jacob Alan Saxton

Jacob Alan Saxton, 17, of Worth County died Saturday, August 2, 2014 in Ty Ty from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A memorial service was held at 5:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Mike Carter will officiate.

Jacob was born on August 18, 1996 in Tifton to Cathy Saxton and Eddie J. Poke.  He was a sophomore at Worth County High School.  Jacob enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his friends.  He was an accomplished athlete playing both football and basketball.

Survivors include his mother, Cathy Saxton of Sylvester; father, Eddie J. Poke of College Park; brothers, Dominque Butler of Sumner, Keon Moate of Sylvester, and Ayden Poke of Atlanta; sister, Serenity Poke of Atlanta; maternal grandparents, Linda & Evans Lott of Ty Ty; maternal grandfather, Douglas Saxton of Tifton; paternal grandparents, Eddie & Mary Poke of Tifton; paternal great-grandmother, Lula Mae Scott and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 4-6 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
