Rubye Sparger Cooper

Mrs. Rubye Sparger Cooper, 95, of Sumner died Tuesday August 12, 2014 at her residence.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Friday August 15, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Davis officiating. A second service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday August 18, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Kennedale, TX. with interment to follow in the Emerald Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Robert Nimocks officiating.

Mrs. Cooper was born on August 25, 1918 in Smithfield, TX. to the late Jessie Ed Sparger and Mary Jane Jobe Sparger. She had lived in Worth County since 1965 moving there from Kennedale, TX. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Rebecca Chapter Order Of The Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church in Kennedale, TX. She enjoyed shopping and traveling.

Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn Herring of Sylvester; Gayle Eason (Harmer) of Sylvester; sons, Sandy Cooper (Jo) of Sumner; Larry Cooper (Elaine) of Sylvester; Mike Cooper (JoAnn) of Henderson, Tx.; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Billie Owens of Granbury, TX; Sue Sparger of Bedford, TX; brother, Sammy Sparger of Bedford.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leroy Cooper on October 3, 2004, two sons, Jerry Charles Cooper and Willis Dale Cooper and a brother, Tommy Sparger.

Pallbearers included, Jeffrey Jeffords, Tony Cooper, Jerry Cooper, Roger Dale Watson, David Cooper, Justin Cooper, Will Cooper and Shannon Cooper. Honorary Pallbearers included, Michael Eason, Michael Cooper, Jimmy Cooper and Troy Cooper.
