Quentin (Q.D.) Erick Erickson

Quentin (Q.D.) Erick Erickson, Jr., 67, of Warwick, GA, died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Eastside  Church of Christ.  Rev. Sam Hartline will officiate.  Interment will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth County, GA.

 

A native of Natchitoches, LA, he graduated from Lafayette High School.  After graduation, Mr. Erickson joined the United States Marine Corps, served in Vietnam and moved to Albany, GA forty years ago from Oregon.  He was a rural mail carrier for the U. S. Post Office and served as President of the Mail Carriers Union for several years before his retirement in 2004.  He was an avid golfer and a member of Brickyard Plantation Golf Club.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Lewis Erickson and a brother, Lee Erickson.

 

Survivors include his wife, Janice Erickson of Warwick, GA, two sons, Darin Erickson and his wife, Teresa of Lee County, GA and David Erickson and his wife, Major Christina (retired) of Warner Robbins, GA, a daughter, Holly Pollock of Mitchell County, GA, a sister, Becky Paramore and her husband, Steve of Lawton, OK, a brother, Keith Erickson and his wife, Barbara of Eugene, OR and five grandchildren, Brandon Erickson, Dylan Erickson, Gracie Pollock, Haiden Pollock, and Joey Erickson.   

 

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.

 

The family will be at the residence of Darin and Teresa Erickson, 162 Edinborough Dr.,  Leesburg, GA, 31763.
