Josie Lee “Polly” Massey Farnsworth

Mrs. Josie Lee “Polly” Massey Farnsworth, 80, of Richmond Hill and formerly of Sylvester died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Hospice Savannah, Inc.

The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at New Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ed Waller officiated.

Mrs. Farnsworth was born on July 15, 1934 in Hahira to the late Oxford and Lillie Mae Norris Webb. She had lived in Richmond Hill since 2010 having moved there from Indian Lake Estates, FL.  Mrs. Farnsworth had worked at Coats & Clark as well as Color Craft and Olin Mills Studios.  She enjoyed golf and painting.  Mrs. Farnsworth was a member of the Indian Lake Estates United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Massey Durrence (Terry) of Richmond Hill; grandchildren, Rhonda Busbee and Jamie Massey; great grandchildren, Ansley Busbee and Boone Massey; daughter-in-law, George Wynn of Doerun; step-children, Linda Gregory and Judy Barnholdt; brothers, John Webb, David Webb and George Webb; adopted daughters, Donna O. Broadaway and June Odom both of Sylvester; her canine companion, King Louie and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farnsworth was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Newton Massey on June 5, 1981 and Frederick T. Farnsworth on April 24, 2005; her son, Ronnie N. Massey on July 30, 2004 and 3 brothers.

Pallbearers included Jimmie Broadaway, Robert Lowe, Robert Chambless, Milan Massey, Tony Durrence and David Hill.
