Gary L. Parker

VeteranGary L. Parker, 58, of Worth County, GA, died February 20, 2015 in Turner County, GA due from an accident. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Eron White will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.
A native of Tifton, GA, Gary was raised in Poulan, GA and lived in worth County all of his life. He graduated from Worth County High School and served in the United States Army. Gary was employed with Pilot Truck Lines and formerly with Florida Rock. He was a member of Albany Baptist Church and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, June Parker of Sylvester, GA, five children, Gary L. (Peggy) Parker, Jr. of Hartsfield, GA, Shaun (Kelly) Parker of Sylvester, GA, Shannon Price (Charles Denham) and Cindy (John) Shealy all of Leesburg, GA and Aaron Parker and his fiancé, Misty Dean of Albany, GA, his father, Sherman Parker, Jr of Poulan, GA, three sisters, Patricia (Wendall) Horten and Joye Parker all of Sylvester, GA and Kay Parker of Leesburg, GA, two brothers, Steve Parker of Worth County, GA and Jay (Elizabeth) Parker of Ellijay, GA and ten grandchildren, Carrie, Chasity, Jimmy Joe, Pele, Aiden, Marlena, Jace , Bryce, Tripp and Layla. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Maude Parker and a brother, Earl Wayne Parker.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
