Terry L. Brooks

Mr. Terry L. Brooks, 72, of Sylvester died Tuesday November 10, 2015 at Regents Medical Center in Augusta.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Friday November 13, 2015 at Evergreen Baptist Church with the interment following in the church cemetery. The Rev. Harold Thomaston, Rev. David Williams and Rev Todd Brooks officiated.

Mr. Brooks was born on August 30, 1943 in Worth County to the late Lonnie Marshall and Willie Lee Hancock Brooks. He lived in Worth County all his life and owned and operated Brooks Sales Company. Mr. Brooks enjoyed the outdoors, especially working on his farm. He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and the Sanctuary Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Cheryl Herring Brooks of Sylvester; daughters, Donna Walden (Randy) of Ellijay, Terri Smith (Darien) of Sylvester; son, Todd Brooks (Monica) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Kala Lourenco, Brittany Holt, Morgan Smith, Payton Brooks, Makenna Brooks; great grandchildren, Abagail Holt, Sebastian Lourenco and Eliza Jayne Smith; siblings, Jewell Barksdale of Sylvester, David Brooks (Jeannette) of Tifton, Charles Brooks (Joan) of Tifton, Joyce Thomaston (Harold) of Thomasville, Cleston Brooks of Sylvester, Berry Brooks of Sylvester and a sister-in-law, JoAnn Brooks of Sylvester

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by four siblings, Lonnie Marshall Brooks, Jr., Louise Bartley, Georgia Lee Langley and Hiram W. Brooks.

For those desiring memorials may be made to the Evergreen Baptist Church, c/o Bobby J. Potts, 2442 Evergreen Road, Doerun, GA 31744.

Pallbearers were Kyle Brooks, Joseph Brooks, Scott Brooks, David Brooks Jr., Ronnie Herring and Ricky Bartley.
