Mildred Arnold Davis

Mrs. Mildred Arnold Davis, 91, of Warwick died Thursday April 11, 2013 at her residence.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday April 14, 2013 at Warwick First Baptist Church with interment following in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner County. Reverends Joe Poetevint, Jimmy Black, Kenneth Kicklighter and Mr. Andrew Kicklighter officiated. Serving as pallbearers were Kyle Pless, Drew Pless, Jamie Chapman, Kirk Jones, Joe Bass and Greg Wade.
Mrs. Davis was born on April 25, 1921 to the late Johnnie King and Rosa Elizabeth Sumner Arnold in Tift County and lived in Warwick since 1962, moving there from Turner County. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Mrs. Davis was a member of Warwick First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School Class and was a member of the W.M.U.
Survivors include her daughter, Joann Lane of Albany; son, Arnold Davis and Bonnie of Warwick; grandchildren, Glenda Kicklighter and Neal, Robin Downs and Ron of Albany; great-grandchildren, Andrew Kicklighter, Lauren Dean and Raymond, Wendy Hover and Shane, Tony Downs and Ronnie Downs; and six great, great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bill Davis on November 19, 2007 and two brothers, George Gilford Arnold and James Needham Arnold.
