James Sexton

Mr. James Sexton, 55, of Sylvester GA, died Friday March 11, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel interment followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery.  The Rev. Bobby Moye officiated.

Mr. Sexton was born in Albany on March 4, 1961 to James Kelley Sexton and the late Myrtle Watkins Sexton. He had lived in Worth County for the last 26 years and was a welder formerly employed with Kosola and Associates. Mr. Sexton enjoyed fishing, collecting bottles, coins and all antique items.

Survivors include his wife Cindy Coker Sexton of Sylvester, children, Stephen Massey of Columbus, Michael Anthony Lasseter (Rachel) of Oakridge, TN, Heather Anne Cooper (Tommy) of Sylvester, James Ryan Sexton (Samantha) of Sylvester, grandchildren, James David Massey, Michael Joseph Massey, Summer Jayde Lott, Kaedin Gauge Massey, Bailey Madison Sexton, Weston Gage Lasseter; parents, James and Georgetta Sexton of Albany; siblings, Jimmy L. Sexton of Leesburg, Mickey Rogers of Cordele, Patricia Ford of Sylvester, Barbara Kates of Albany, Donald Sexton of Niceville, FL; step brothers and sisters, Ted Dusterdieck, of Baconton, Sue Ellis of Edison, Adell Griffith of Bradington, FL, Marjorie Morris of Port St. Richie, FL.

Pallbearers included Anthony Lasseter, Ryan Sexton, Robert Miller, Stephen Massey, Tommy Cooper and Michael Sexton.
