A Capella Anyone?

Leesburg, GA:  Lee County Family Connection is excited to announce the first ever A Capella Workshop to be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017.  The workshop will take place at Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia.

 

Workshop presenters are Reverb, Florida State University’s Award Winning All-Male A Capella group, and The Acabelles, Florida State University’s Premier All-Female A Capella group.

 

The event will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.  Registration is now open and students from 6th grade up through college-age are welcome to register.  You can register on-line at https://acapellaworkshop2017.eventbrite.com/ or you can pick up registration forms locally at Lee County Chamber of Commerce, Lee County High School, Lee County 9th Grade Campus, Lee County Middle School East and Lee County Middle School West.  Or you can email leecountyfamilyconnection@gmail.com and request a registration form.

 

Workshop participants will experience the process of taking a song and creating a performance piece.  All workshop participants are invited and encouraged to perform in the opening number of the 4th Annual Trojans got Talent Show on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the Lee County High School Auditorium.

 

Early bird registration, now through January 14, 2017 is only $45 per student. This includes 5 hours of A Capella instruction from the 25 members of Reverb and The Acabelles, a workshop t-shirt, lunch and a light dinner, admission to the 4th Annual Trojans got Talent show and a performance opportunity.

 

Late registration is January 15 through January 20, 2017 at a rate of $50 per student.  Students may register the day of the workshop, for a fee of $55.  T-shirts are not guaranteed for late or day of registrants.

 

All proceeds from the A Capella Workshop will benefit the LCHS Performing Arts Program (Band, Chorus & Theatre).
