In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Wed., Oct. 23, 2013 has been designated as “SYLVESTER PINK OUT DAY”. Sylvester and Worth County communities, businesses and schools are asked to get involved with the awareness of Breast Cancer.
Breast Cancer not only affects women, it affects men, as well. On this day, you are asked to “Pink Out” Sylvester. You can show your support by wearing pink shirts and blue jeans. The breast cancer ribbons are pink but should be pink and blue because men have breast cancer, too.
Another way of showing your support for awareness is displaying a pink and blue ribbon, banner or balloons on your door, home, business or whatever way you choose to become involved.
