Mr. Junior “J. R.” Jordan, 70, of Sylvester died Friday November 8, 2013 at Sylvester Health Care.
The graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday November 11, 2013 at Poulan Cemetery with Mr. Roger German officiating.
Mr. Jordan was born on June 3, 1943 in Pavo to the late Charlie Albert and Geraldine Bess Jordan. He lived in Worth County most of his life and was a retired farmer. Mr. Jordan enjoyed fishing, sports and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a member of New Elm Baptist Church in Colquitt County.
Survivors include his sons, Lewis Jordan (Kristi) of Sylvester, Roger German of Albany, Rex German of Sylvester and Rodney German of Huntsville, AL; daughters, Reba Senkbeil of Sylvester, Regina Raburn of Leesburg and Vicky Heffernan of Sylvester; sister, Gladys Wynne of Sylvester; brothers, David Jordan of Shingler and Roy Dees of Sumner and a number grandchildren which includes Dakota Jordan.
In addition to his parents Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his wife, Wilda Jean Jordan on January 26, 1999.
The family received friends on Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
