Grace Miller Jordan

Mrs. Grace Miller Jordan, 76 of Sylvester died Saturday January 4, 2014 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday January 8, 2014 at Pine Forest Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Reverends Roy Carroll and Jason Jones will officiate.
Active pallbearers will include Luke Jordan, Cal Buckner, Darien Smith, Steve Newell, Mike Giddens and Jeremy Phillips
Mrs. Jordan was born in Rocky Ford, GA on November 10, 1937 to the late Carl and Susan Sills Miller and lived in Sylvester since 1971. She was retired from the Worth County Board of Education as a first grade teacher after 39 years. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Worth County Retired Teachers Association and served as their treasurer for many years. She was a graduate of Brewton Parker with a B.A. in Education. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde R. Jordan of Sylvester; son, Richard A. Jordan (Rhonda) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Luke Jordan and Sommer Jordan of Sylvester; sister, Ruth Kingery of Aiken, SC; brothers, Ralph Miller of Palm Coast, FL, C.A. Miller (Mary Jane) of Sylvester, Marion “George” Miller (Jean) of Huntsville, AL., and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family received friends on Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
