Jonnie Melton Heisler

Mrs. Jonnie Melton Heisler, 82, of Sylvester died Wednesday January 15, 2014 at Willson Hospice House.
The graveside service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday January 17, 2014 at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. David Collyer officiated.
Pallbearers included Chris Burrell, Todd Ford, Brandon Morris, Bo Brand, Keith Willis and Mark Giddens.
Mrs. Heisler was born on November 8, 1931 in Sylvester to the late John Carl and Bettie Lee Fiveash Melton. Mrs. Heisler was a graduate of Sylvester High School. She lived in Sylvester all of her life and was retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base after many years of service. Mrs. Heisler was a member of First Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cross word puzzles, cooking and helping others. Mrs Heisler was an avid Florida Gator fan.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen H. Willis (Stanley) of Sumner; son, Sam Heisler of Sylvester; grandchildren, Casey Willis (Courtney), Courtney Harper (Jason), and Tyler Knox (Andy); great-grandchildren, Maddie Willis, Sophie Willis, Drew Knox and Willis Knox.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Heisler was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Heisler on February 19, 1971; son, Kenneth Wilson Heisler on July 9, 1978 and four siblings.
