Ethel Castell Coker

Mrs. Ethel Castell Coker, 93, of Ty Ty died Wednesday June 26, 2013 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday June 28, 2013 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Brown officiating.
Mrs. Coker was born on November 17, 1919 in Rome, GA. to the late James Allen and Helen Iona Castell. She lived in Worth County all of her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Coker loved working in her flowers, enjoyed wildlife, birds and fishing. She was of the Holiness and Baptist faith.
Survivors include her sons, George Coker (Kay) of Poulan, Ted Coker (Beverly) of Omega and Roger Coker of Ty Ty; daughters; Seryctha Johnson (Raymond) of Sylvester, Vivian Lindsey of Ty Ty and Helen Coker of Ty Ty; 20 grandchildren; a number of great and great, great and great great, great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Crosby of Moultrie; and a brother, James Allen Casteel, Jr. of Virginia.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Coker was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Lee “Buck” Coker on March 12, 1985; daughter, Patsy Montgomery and a great great grandchild, Marsha Bradfield.
Pallbearers included Allen Coker, Josh Coker, Keith Montgomery, George Coker, Jr., Tony Coker, Matthew Fincher and Len Shiver.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
