Karen Sumner Ellis Haman

Mrs. Karen Sumner Ellis Haman, 78, of Ty Ty died Tuesday March 4, 2014 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday March 7, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Sumner Cemetery. Reverends Mike Davis and Ben Reeves will officiate.
Mrs. Haman was born on September 21, 1935 in Worth County to the late James Carey and Bouncye Faye Cooper Sumner. She lived in Worth and Dougherty counties all her life and was formerly employed with Mauldin & Jenkins. Mrs. Haman was a 1953 graduate of Sumner High School where she was a cheerleader. She enjoyed playing cards and square dancing. Mrs. Haman was a member of Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles “Bo” Haman of Ty Ty; daughter-in-law, Dawn Ellis of Leesburg; grandchildren, Stacey and Preslee Ellis; great-grandson, Lalan Ellis; step-daughter, Donna Durden (Michael) of Jacksonville Beach, FL and three step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include Wilbur Haman, Warren Haman, Bobby Fowler, Wyatt Sumner, Darrell Haman and Jimmy Bryan.
Mrs. Haman was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ellis in 1989 and her sons, Mark Ellis in 2007 and Scott Ellis in 2012.
