Martha Young Hill

Martha-Young-HillMrs. Martha Young Hill, 85, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 in a local hospital. Visitation was held on March 5, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services were held March 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial was at 3 p.m. in Poulan Cemetery in Poulan GA.
Martha was born in Fort Valley, GA to the late Jake and Helen (Harper) Young. Martha was predeceased by her husband, Loyd L. Hill; daughters, Lucille Hill and Kaye Hill and sister, Lois Frances Sanders.
Martha was a retired civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base as an accounting technician. Martha was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 34 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Jean (Irvin) Pitts; granddaughter, Amy Pitts; great-grandchildren, Kaylee (Hunter) Ivey of Lizella, GA, Rebekah Hamm, Matthew Hamm of Atlanta, GA and Brittney Hamm of Warner Robins, GA; and great, great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Hill Ivey of Lizella, GA.
Also surviving are sisters, Sue Shiver, Ann (Raymond) Hill, Bernice (James) White and numerous nieces and nephews.
