Eleanor Ruff

Mrs. Eleanor A. Turner Ruff, 77, of Sylvester died on Friday, August 23, 2019 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday August 28, 2019 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Ruff was born on November 11, 1941 in Mitchell County to the late John Leland and Katie Etta Thomas Goodson. She had lived in Worth County for the last 3 years and was formerly employed as a server at the Waffle House. Mrs. Ruff enjoyed tending to her garden, reading and watching westerns,  but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Ruff was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include her son, Stacey Turner (Christina) of Tifton; daughter, Gail Davis of Gray; sister, Dale Donovan (Duane) of Louisiana;  4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ruff was preceded in death by her sons, John Q. Turner Jr., Alvin Thomas Wright and a granddaughter, Mandy Shambaugh Shellman.
