Jack Cody

Jack Ward Cody, 51, of Ty Ty passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at his residence.  His funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.  Mr. Cody’s nieces gave eulogies.  Mr. Cody was laid to rest at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth County.

Randy Chambless, Art Spears, Shannon Sledge, Jody Johnson, Michael Johnson and Robbie Kinard served as pallbearers.

Born December 24, 1967 in Naples, Florida, Mr. Cody was the son of Florence Opal Patterson of Ty Ty and the late James Deroy Cody.  He was self-employed and owned his own welding company.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Cody is survived by one son, Christopher Polley of Scooterville; a nephew, Travis Jacob Franklin; two brothers, Kevin Myers of Tifton and James Cody of Connecticut; two sisters, Melissa Parker of Missouri and Denise Bozeman of Isabella (Sylvester); two granddaughters, Avily Polley and Rylin Polley; two special nieces, Heather Eskew and Nicole Cobb; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Monty Eskew, Maddie Eskew, Seth Cobb, Eli Cobb and Render Cobb; and eight other nieces.
