Wade Bowen

Mr. Jeffrey Wade Bowen, 40 of Sylvester, died on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Kimball United Methodist Church, interment followed in the Kimball Cemetery. The Rev. Mickey Jacobs officiated.  

Mr. Bowen was born on January 31, 1979 in Albany, Ga., to Weldon Wallace and Wanda Sumner Bowen. He had lived in Worth County most of his life and was currently employed at Florida Gulf & Atlantic Railroad as an Engineer. Mr. Bowen was a graduate of the Worth County High School class of 1997 and later earned his Turf Management degree from ABAC. He enjoyed golfing and fishing but most importantly spending time with his friends and family. Mr. Bowen was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his mother, Wanda Sumner Bowen of Sylvester; son, Wyatt Bowen of Alma,Ga; brothers, Brian Bowen (Mazie) of Athens, Ga., Brad Bowen (Kimberly) of Leesburg; special friend, Nicole Brittany of St. Marys, Ga; uncles, Barry Bowen, Johnny Bowen, Ronald Sumner (Julie), aunts, Sharon Sherling (Al), Midge Walker (Clay), and Gail Carlton (Bill); nephews, Daylon Bowen, Hank Bowen and Drew Bowen; and a host of cousins.

Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his father, Weldon Wallace Bowen.
