Linda Gail Layfield

Mrs. Linda Gail Layfield, 59, of Albany died Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.
The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at Southside Baptist Church in Albany with interment following in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Sumner. Reverends Bill Suggs and Donnie Wright officiated.
Mrs. Layfield was born on December 15, 1954 in Sylvester and lived in Albany all her life. She was employed with Jamison Bedding as a manufacturing supervisor. Mrs. Layfield enjoyed softball and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Mert Young of Albany; father, Lawrence “Bo” Young (Carolyn) of Sylvester; brother, Randy Young of Albany and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends on Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
