Dorothy Yvonne Setzer Williams

Dorothy-WilliamsDorothy “Dot” Yvonne Setzer Williams, of Newton passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at Conover Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Augusta and Lucy Ann S. Setzer. Dorothy was an active member of Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church in Newton.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special in her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin Williams; two sisters, Mozelle Crowe and Mary Lee Punch and two brothers, G. B. and Richard Setzer.
She is survived by two daughters, Trudy Williams Inman and husband Jim of Sylvester, GA and Lori Williams Lamb and husband Jerry of Newton; four grandchildren,  Jason Lamb and wife Ashley of Conover, Matthew Inman and wife Andrea of Leesburg, GA, Alison Whisnant and husband Aaron of Albemarle and Bradley Inman of Sylvester, GA; six great-grandchildren,  Bailee, Chloe and Drew Inman, A.B. and  Jack Lamb and Jake Whisnant; two sisters,  Deannie Setzer Cline of Newton and Margie Setzer Witherspoon of Union Grove, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church in Newton with Pastor Jim Church officiating. Burial  followed at Eastview Cemetery in Newton.
The family received friends on Wednesday April 9, 2014 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Burke Mortuary in Newton.
Memorials may be made to Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church in Newton.
