Janie Vaudine McDaniel

Mrs. Janie Vaudine McDaniel, 79, of Sylvester, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 at her home.
Graveside services were conducted at 11 AM, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 4267 Cemetery Road Pitts, GA. 31072. Reverend Brian Allen of First Baptist Church of Acree officiated.
Mrs. McDaniel was born August 15, 1933 in Pitts, GA and was daughter of the late Collis Britt and the late Lois Crenshaw Britt. She loved working with children and the family meant everything to her. Her dog “Little Bit” was very special to her also. Mrs. McDaniel was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Acree for over forty-five years. She was also a member of the Keen Agers of the church and was always working behind the scenes, serving others when needed.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Chappell “L.C.” McDaniel.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Cher McDaniel of Albany; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mike Keefe of Sylvester; brothers and sisters-in-law, Coley and Myrt Britt of Pitts and Charles and Sherrell Britt of West Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and T.O. Benson of Blairsville, Charlotte Ham of Texas and Barbara and J.C. Hillard of Eastman; four grandchildren, Marie Keefe, April Keefe, Courtney Mason and Adam Snyder and one great-grandchild, Gavin Halstead.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers of Mrs. McDaniel, Machale Baynard Vincent and Donna Spring.
