Mr. Phillip Gordon Fowler, 75, of Sylvester died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his residence.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Cooper will officiate.
Mr. Fowler was born on August 18, 1938 in Ashburn to the late Arthur Elvis and Annie Dell Powell Fowler. He lived in Worth County since 1959 and was retired from Merck Chemicals as a maintenance technician. Mr. Fowler served in the US Navy and enjoyed hunting fox, raccoons, bobcats and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Phyllis R. Fowler of Sylvester; son, Robert Gordon “Bobby” Fowler (Kelley) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Justin Phillip Fowler and Jacob Robert Fowler; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by two sisters, Nora Dean Lumpkin and Christine Davis.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
