Carolyn Jones Cravey

Mrs. Carolyn Jones Cravey, 89, of Sylvester died Friday, June 6, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
The graveside funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014 in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Mike Davis officiated.
Mrs. Cravey was born on December 17, 1924 in Unadilla, GA to the late, Henry Jackson and Sarah Mabell Blanchard Jones. She lived in Worth County since 1946.  Mrs. Cravey retired from the Worth County Board of Education in 1988 after teaching 2nd and 3rd grades for 35 years.  She enjoyed reading and loved her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church where she taught and attended Sunday school.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth C. Kraus (Christian); son, Joseph Cravey (Susan); grandchildren, Ben Cravey (Teri), Tyler Cravey (fiancé Kelsey Arnett), Sarah Catherine Kraus and Caroline Kraus; great-grandchild, Jackson “Jax” Cravey and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Cravey was preceded in death by her husband, Bryant Joseph Cravey, Sr., on April 17, 1988, and her son, Jackson Cravey on December 12, 2012.
The family received friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home.
