Willie Jake Pitts

Willie “Shakey” Jake Pitts, 50, of Poulan, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Phoebe Worth Medical Center in Sylvester.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14 in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with Rev. Ken Willis officiating. Interment followed in Omega Cemetery. The body laid in-state at the residence of Mr. James Pitts, 500 Northwood St., Poulan, GA from 5 p.m. Thursday, June 12 until 12 noon on Saturday.
Pallbearers were Nicky Wiley, Corey Gunn, Ray Willis, Chris Holt, B.J. Pitts, Troy Pitts, Chris Stephens, Wendell Nolan, Twan Golden and Ronnie Conger
Mr. Pitts was born February 6, 1964 at Itazuke Air Force Base in Japan to James Pitts of Poulan and the late Maxie Mae Harper Pitts. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Eugene Pitts. Mr. Pitts was a former truck driver.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother who for 30 years he considered as his mother, Glenda Westbrook Pitts of Poulan; two sons, Willie J. Pitts, Jr., and Troy Lee Pitts both of Moultrie; three brothers, James Pitts of Poulan, Aaron Pitts of Cordele and Ronnie Conger of Norman Park; one sister, Connie Ann Conger of Moultrie; one grandson, Jake Pitts; two nephews; two nieces and three great-nieces.
