Mrs. Myrtle Ann Eldridge, 83, of Sylvester went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Willson Hospice House.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Isabella Baptist Church with interment following in Hillcrest Cemetery. Reverends Jason Jones and Billy Baker officiated.
Mrs. Eldridge was born on September 6, 1930 in Tift County to the late Andrew and Frances Ayers Shoupe. She lived in Worth County since 1964, moving here from Tift County. Mrs. Eldridge was married to the late Henry Dillard (H.D.) Eldridge for 48 years. Mrs. Eldridge’s family was her pride and joy. She was retired from the Worth County Board of Education where she worked as a lunchroom attendant. She enjoyed viewing all of God’s marvelous creations outside her window, especially sparrows, doves and red birds. Mrs. Eldridge attended Isabella Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Carol Eldridge (Shirley) of Franklin, NC; daughters, Janis Crump and Teresa Eady (Bobby), both of Sylvester; son, Ronald Eldridge (E.J.) of Ashburn; grandchildren, Scott Eldridge, Ben Eldridge (Kim), Eric Crump (Adriana), Stacy Reincheld (Nathan), Steven Crump (Amanda), Jason Eady (Marticia), Zachary and Jessica Eldridge; great-grandchildren, Camden and Sawyer Eldridge, Samuel and Dany Crump, Gabriela and Deborah Reincheld, Emily, Jaxson, and Tanner Crump, Shelby Arnett, Abby and Seth Eady; sister-in-law, Margie Marchant Shoupe; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Bernadette Kok.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Shoupe Baker; brother, Donald Ray Shoupe; daughter-in-law, Connie Houston Eldridge; and a grandson, Jeffery Ryan Eady.
The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17 at Banks Funeral Home.
