Theophilus William “Butch” Tison, III, 68, of 189 Tinkham Road, Eure, NC, died Monday, July 7, 2014 in his home.
Mr. Tison was born in Worth County, GA on January 18, 1946 and was the son of the late Theophilus W., Jr. and Georgia Ann Richardson Tison. A retired pipefitter with Tidewater Construction, he was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church in Doles, GA.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Lullene Simmons Tison; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Atkins and husband Michael of Eure; two sons, Theophilus W. Tison, IV and wife Marelle of Doles and Terry Wayne Tison and wife Donna of Sylvester, GA; and 10 grandchildren.
A private memorial service was held by the family. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, assisted them with arrangements.
