Lauryn Nicole Goodman, 21, of Sylvester died Friday July 11, 2014 in Sylvester from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Monday July 14, 2014 at Salem Baptist Church with interment following in the Salem Cemetery. The Rev. Jackie Cabaniss and Rev. Donnie Wright officiated.
Lauryn was born on June 12, 1993 in Albany and had lived in Worth County all of her life. She was employed with the law office of James Finkelstein as a receptionist. Lauryn loved her family, friends and especially her dog. She enjoyed watching her cousin play baseball. Lauryn was a member of the Salem Baptist Church where she attended Sunday School.
Survivors include her mother, Belinda A. Goodman of Sylvester; father, Darryl Goodman of Poulan; sisters, Alisha G. Anderson (Phil) of Jesup, Julie Giddens (Will) of Sylvester and Kayla Sowell (John) of Sylvester; brother, Logan Goodman of Sylvester; maternal grandparents, Elmer “JR” and Faye Apperson of Albany; aunts, Kathy Lewis (Andy) of Sylvester, Sandra Jones (Gene) of Sylvester and Kathy Griffin (Jerry) of Crawfordville, FL.; uncle, Scott Goodman (Benavidez) of Tifton.
Lauryn was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Rochelle Goodman.
Active pallbearers included David Apperson, Larry Grimsley, Nick Johnson, Keith Apperson, Tyler Layfield and Blake Rogers. Honorary pallbearers included Barrett Berry, Tyler Williams, Martin Williamson and Carson Garrett.
