On April 8, at 10:00 a.m., a hearing was held for an application to recall Chairman Mike Cosby of the Worth County Board of Commissioners. Ironically, April 8 was also the chairman’s birthday. The application was initiated by Fidilia H. Griffin, and the recall application stated that the Chairman has committed an act of malfeasance while in office, as well as willfully misused funds, converted, or misappropriated, without authority, public property or funds entrusted to or associated with the office to which the official has been elected. Presiding over the hearing was Judge Buster McConnell.
