The following area residents were among 247 students who graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the Spring 2016 Commencement Ceremony held on Friday, May 6 in Convocation Hall of the Student Success Center.
Karla Basko of Doerun earned Bachelor of Business Administration in management
Jodie Kretzer of Sylvester earned master’s degree in business administration
Jakin Tillery of Sylvester earned Bachelor of Science in Education in special education cum laude
The commencement speaker was retired Sen. George Hooks, a 32-year veteran of the Georgia legislature.
