Amy Chafin, Curriculum Director for the Worth County School District, recently presented at the 26th annual National Youth at Risk Conference in Savannah, Georgia. Chafin was chosen as one of nearly 100 participants in this year’s poster presentation session. The title of her presentation,Using Mathematics Curriculum-Based Measurement to Predict Student Performance on the Third Grade Georgia Mathematics Criterion Referenced Competency Test, was based on her doctoral dissertation. Chafin was joined by professors from the department of Curriculum, Leadership and Technology, Valdosta State University for the presentation. The conference was hosted by Georgia Southern University’s College of Education and Division of Continuing Education.
