Last Monday evening, the council of the City of Sylvester held their regular work session for the month of April. Mayor William Yearta started the meeting by saying that the board’s thoughts and prayers were with councilman Larry Johnson in the recent loss of his mother. The first item on the agenda was the airport project. Yearta stated that the board had a meeting with the contractor earlier in the day and informed him that they wish to stay within the budget.
