Sylvester firefighters were called to a structure fire at 903 W. Willingham Street at approximately 6:07 a.m. last Friday. According to SFD Chief Chris Duncan, the home belongs to former Sylvester volunteer firefighter Otis Daniels. While Daniels’ daughter was transported to the hospital for evaluation, Duncan says everyone at the residence is fine. While the front half of the home was completely destroyed, the back portion suffered smoke damage. The cause and origin of the blaze had not been determined as of press time Friday.
