Many Georgians are still struggling to provide food for their families. Worth County Farm Bureau understands the significance of helping our neighbors, which is why we are participating in Georgia Farm Bureau’s annual Harvest for All Campaign.
Worth County Farm Bureau is collecting monetary donations until November 28 that will be donated to the Georgia Food Bank Association and its seven food bank affiliates located across the state to help Georgians in need.
Worth County Farm Bureau is also collecting staple food items such as peanut butter, rice and canned goods for a local food pantry. Anyone who would like to participate in our local food drive is welcome to bring staple food items to our office by Nov.28
Donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9a.m. to 4p.m. at the WCFB office located at 139 Whiddon Mill Rd Poulan. For more information call 229-776-6926.
Founded in 1937, Georgia Farm Bureau is the largest general farm organization in the state. Georgia Farm Bureau’s mission is to be the voice and advocate for the men and women who produce our food and fiber. Its volunteer members actively participate in local, district and state activities that promote agriculture awareness to their non-farming neighbors. GFB also has 20 commodity advisory committees that give the organization input on issues pertinent to the major commodities grown in Georgia.
