Friends of former Worth County Schools Superintendent Alan Kimbro will be glad to learn that he is recuperating nicely after receiving severe burns in an accident that happened last Monday.
According to Mr. Kimbro, he was at his son’s home in Valdosta and was in the process of burning some yard trash. Unbeknownst to him, there was a can of aerosol paint in the pile of rubbish that he was burning, and it exploded causing burns to his face and arms.
He was transported to a hospital in Valdosta, and then he was air-lifted to the burn center in Augusta where he was treated for severe burns to both arms and skin grafts to his face. He was dismissed from the hospital on Wednesday, and he is now resting at his home in Sylvester.
