Mrs. Lillian Davis Williams Burnett, 89, of Sylvester died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at First Baptist Church with interment to follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Ben Bush and Mrs. Kimberly Cooper will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Williams, Jeremy White, Kevin Shaw, Clay Young, Josh White, John Cooper, John Rayfield and John Miles.
Mrs. Burnett was born on May 15, 1924 in Sylvester to the late Henry Gordon Davis, Sr. and Lillie Wingate Davis. She was the former owner/operator of Cindy’s Flower Shop and former president of the Georgia State Florist Association. Mrs. Burnett enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and traveling. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Bykota Sunday School Class. Mrs. Burnett loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Charles Williams, Jr. (Gail) of Cordele, Cindy W. Young (Jerry) of Sylvester and Sally Vee W. White (Keith) of Sylvester; step-children, Roger Burnett of Albany, Tim Burnett (Jan) of Cordele and Jeff Burnett (Peggy) of Albany; brother, Dr. H. Gordon Davis, Jr. of Sylvester; grandchildren, Gayla Shaw (Kevin), Kevin Williams, Clay Young (Angel), Kelly Rayfield (John), Kimberly Cooper (John), Jeremy White and Josh White; great-grandchildren, Smith, Swin, Bella, and Campbell Shaw, Gavin and Ansley Young, Karley and Kendall Rayfield, Sara and Cindy Jo Cooper; and a number of step-grandchildren which includes Marcy Miles (John).
