Mary Rigsby

Mrs. Mary K. Rigsby, 78, of Tifton died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at her residence.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Northside Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Cargle, Rev. Jerry Cooper and Mr. Craig Goodman officiated.

Mrs. Rigsby was born on November 12, 1939 in Tift County to the late Patrick Charles and Sara Kathryn West Willis. She had lived in Worth County for many years before moving to Tift County. Mrs. Rigsby was a home-maker who enjoyed spending time with her family, yard work and doing word search puzzles. She was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, attended Sunday School Class and served on the Kitchen Committee.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest “Jackie” Rigsby of Tifton; son, Keith Rigsby, Sr. (Rhonda) of Sylvester; daughter, Angela Karvonen (Scott) of Tift County; grandchildren, Kayla O’Grady (Mark), Keith “Jay” Rigsby, Jr. (Carrie), Anna Hancock (Brett), Matthew Rigsby, Whitney Taylor and Tucker Karvonen; great grandchildren, Kylie & Rylee O’Grady, Aaden O’Grady, Isabella Rigsby, and Jordan Hancock; sister, Patsy Goodman of Tifton along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rigsby was preceded in death by her brother, Charles O. “Bud” Willis.

Pallbearers included, Keith Rigsby, Jr., Matthew Rigsby, Hardy Goodman, Brett Hancock, Chase Goodman and Josh Goodman.
