The faculty, staff and administration of Moultrie Technical College held their annual Internal Foundation event and put the “fun” in fundraising on March 28 in the MTC Veterans Parkway Campus Southwest Georgia Bank Conference Center in Moultrie. With the theme of Fellowship, Funds & Fifty, the MTC employees celebrated the 50th Anniversary year of the college, as well as other things that were born or created in 1964, through a variety of team competitions. The faculty and staff pledged to donate a portion of their own salaries to benefit student scholarships and emergency student needs in Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth counties. Traditionally, this event, now in its ninth year, has raised an annual average of $35,000 for students through staff pledges and raffle ticket sales. Employee donations for 2014 are still being pledged and calculated.
