In today’s atmosphere, our Law Enforcement Officers do not always get shown the appreciation they deserve even though they place their lives on the line every time they go to work! On May 26, 2015 American Legion Sylvester Post 335 honored all of the officers in Worth County. A down home country lunch was provided for them at the Margaret Jones Library. There were 45 officers present and another 15 meals taken to fellow workers.
Post 335 is new to Sylvester and Worth County and is one of the fastest growing and most active Posts in the Department of Georgia. They are determined to be an asset to our community and the surrounding Counties. Post335 traveled to Dalton, Ga. at the end of June. There they represented our community well at the Department Convention.
Law enforcement present at the lunch included: Worth County Sheriff’s Office, Sylvester Police Department, Poulan Police Department and Warwick Police Department.
