In conjunction with Celebrate My Drive, a national program dedicated to keeping teen drivers safe and alive, Worth County High School held a First Responder Presentation for the students presented by Sylvester’s local government agencies last Thursday morning. The presentation began at 8:15 with two Life Flight helicopters arriving at 8:45. A car was donated by Futrill Auto Parts of Poulan that the students were able to hit with a sledgehammer all week. The students then got to witness the first responders in action and compare their “sledgehammer” car to an actual car from an accident to demonstrate the impact of car crashes.
