Wayne Saunders

Mr. Wayne Saunders, 64, of Norman Park, died Monday, July 28, 2014 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

The funeral service was held 4:30 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Paulk’s Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Donnie Sloan will officiate.

Mr. Saunders was born on July 26, 1950, in Moultrie to Hubert and Lena Mae Hancock Saunders.  He had lived in Worth County all of his life. Mr. Saunders was self employed as a farmer. He enjoyed racing.

Survivors include sons, Barry Saunders (Jennifer) of Newnan, Gary Saunders (Segie) of Tifton; daughter, Paula Castleberry (Hank) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Caleb Castleberry, Deanna Saunders, Abbey Saunders and Kaden Saunders; mother, Lena Mae Saunders of Norman Park; brother, Larry Saunders of Sumner;  sisters, Joyce Evans of Norman Park, Peggy Brooks of Sumner, Brenda Saunders of Norman Park.

In addition to his father, Mr. Saunders was preceded in death by a brother Lynwood Saunders.

Pallbearers included, Jason Brooks, Shane Conger, Caleb Castleberry, Ricky Sikes and Scotty Conger
