The Mom Prom and other Important Egg Fest Dates

Sumner Egg Festival LogoThe Sumner Egg Festival will be sponsoring a Mom Prom at the gym in Sumner on March 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be music, dancing, snacks, pictures, and much more for an enjoyable night for moms with children aged from toddlers who can walk to fifth grade. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the Chamber, at Sumner City Hall, or at Pa’s Plants and 3G’s Auction House in Sumner. Advanced tickets are $20 for the first child and $5 for each additional child. Tickets purchased at the event will be $25 for the first child and $5 for each additional child. Dress will be Sunday best. This is a family oriented event, so we are asking everyone to dress appropriately.

The theme is “Evening in Paris.” Music will be provided by Mrs. Holton, music teacher at WCMS. For more information, you may call the Sumner City Hall at 776-7384 or Mrs. Jane Long at 848-3319.

Other important dates for upcoming events related to the Egg Festival include: a Ham/Bake Sale on April 4, the Special Needs Dance and Beauty Review on May 8 and 9, a Boston Butt/Bake Sale on June 20, the Egg Festival Beauty Review on July 18, a Chicken-Que on August 22, and of course the annual Egg Festival will be held on September 19.
