Sylvester Gears Up for Georgia Cities Week

GCW_2015_250pxThe great Sylvester clean up is just around the corner. Cities week will lead up to The Great Sylvester Clean Up with a plethora of events. On April 20 the Georgia Cities Week will Kick Off. At 6:00 p.m., there will be a meet and greet with the Mayor and the Council for the public. The first event will be followed by the city council meeting at 7:00 p.m. There will be light refreshments provided.
On April 21, there will be a tree planting. One will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the duck pond. The other will be at 2:00 p.m. at Woolard Center. This is in celebration of Arbor Day. Then, April 22 will be Visit Downtown Business Day. April 23 will involve a Leadership Legislative Luncheon at noon between federal, state, and local officials. On April 24th there will be a governmental tour for the students of Worth County followed by a talent showcase at 6:30 p.m. This is all leading to the Great Sylvester Cleanup which will be held on Saturday, April 25. This is the 12th annual clean up that Sylvester has done.
