James Edward McConnell

James Edward McConnell, 65, of Worth County died July 4, 2015 at his residence.  His funeral services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, (Today) graveside at Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Bainbridge, Georgia Mr. McConnell was a long time resident of Albany/Worth County.  He was the owner operator of McConnell’s Eastside Used Furniture & Appliance.  His loves were that of working hard, to “wheel and deal”  when he got a chance, and that of his dogs and horses.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie Less McConnell, Sr. and Christine Powell McConnell, his brothers Charles J. McConnell, and David Earl McConnell and his sister, Patricia Jeffcoat.

He is survived by his daughters: Shawna Nicole McConnell  and Shellie Renee McConnell both of Rome, Georgia, and Maria Berg of Albany ; his sons: Timothy Edward McConnell of Rome, Georgia and Chris McConnell of Albany, several grandchildren, his 3 brothers: Allen DeWayne McConnell, Michael Ray McConnell, and Calvin Bradley McConnell all of Albany; 4 sisters: Judy Goree, Janice Reddell, both of Putney, Mary Ann Hipps McConnell of Baconton and Louise Womack of Albany; a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
