Tift County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General 1290 Hwy 82 East, Tifton.
The incident occurred June 1, 2013 as two employees were exiting the store at closing, they were approached by a black male armed with a handgun.
The employees said the black male ordered them back inside the store and a second black male also armed with a handgun came in behind them.
The employees stated that both of the black males were dressed in black and had their faces covered during the robbery.
The employees said that the robbers bound their hands and searched through their (employees) wallets.
An unspecified amount of cash was taken from the business.
According to the employees tobacco products and alcohol products were also taken by the robbers.
They also advised that the two black males fled on foot.
There were no injuries.
