Glenn Floyd

Mr. Glenn Floyd, 65, of Sylvester died Sunday June 8, 2014 at his residence.
The graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday June 10, 2014 at Hillcrest Cemetery. Reverends David Akin and Trey Poole officiated.
Mr. Floyd was born on May 15, 1949 in Atkinson County to the late Jeff and Cora Jowers Floyd. He lived in Sylvester since 1971 moving here from Cordele. Mr. Floyd was retired from Albany Tractor as the manager of Albany Tractor in Sylvester. He was a member of the Worth Lodge 194 F. & A. M. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his daughters, Kerri F. McMillan (Daniel) of Sylvester and Kim F. Gibbs (Kris) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Elli McMillan, Jackson and Kinslee Gibbs; brothers, Julian Floyd (Evon) of Pearson, Russ Floyd (Judy) of Sycamore and Ronnie Floyd (Donna) of Nashville; sisters, Elaine Akin (David) of Nashville and Debbie Harrell (Lewis); mother-in-law, Carolyn F. Musselwhite of Cordele and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Faye Floyd on August 12, 2013.
The family received friends on Tuesday from 9:30 until service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
