Marshall B. Stinson

Mr. Marshall B. Stinson, 56, of Sylvester died Monday July 7, 2014 at his residence.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday July 10, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home with interment following in the Apperson Family Cemetery. The Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiated.

Mr. Stinson was born on September 12, 1957 in Tifton to the late James Douglas and Bessie Arliss Smith Stinson. He had lived in Worth County since 1992 moving here from Tifton. Mr. Stinson was employed with Spirit Construction as a planner and enjoyed fishing and building things. Mr. Stinson was a member of New River Baptist Church in Tifton.

Survivors include his wife Tammy Apperson Stinson of Sylvester; brothers, James Stinson (Trudy) of Stone Mountain, David Stinson (Janice) of Douglasville, Tony Stinson of Tifton, Paul Stinson of Sylvester; sisters, Peggy Bennett (Laverne) of Enigma, Bunny Snipes (Ken) of Moultrie, Myra Stinson of Douglasville; father-in-law, Eric Aubrey Apperson of Sylvester; sisters-in-law, Shirley Stinson of Douglasville, Beverly Brandon (Virgil) of Sylvester, Merita Sullivan (James) of Tifton, Kelley Apperson of Sylvester;  and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Mr. Stinson was preceded in death by a brother Freddie Stinson.

Pallbearers included David Stinson, Jr., Shane Stinson, Wade Salter, Danny Salter, Rod Smith, Sam Smith, Brian Brandon, Richie Childers, Jr., and Michael Childers.
