Aynn Hill Jenkins

Mrs. Aynn Hill Jenkins, 85, of Sumner died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Pine Forest Baptist Church the interment followed in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The Roy Carroll officiated.

Mrs. Jenkins was born on October 14, 1930 in Ashburn to the late Rutland and Rozzie Shivers Hill. She had lived in Tifton and Worth County all of her life. Mrs. Jenkins was a retired Registered Nurse and teacher who taught at Moultrie Technical College at the Moultrie, Tifton, Sumner and Ashburn campuses.  She enjoyed teaching and taught until she was 84 years old. She loved her children, grandchildren and her great grandchild.  Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Donna Pritchard (Leo) of Sylvester, Sharon Jenkins of Sumner, Karon Monk (Don) of Sylvester, Butch Jenkins (Tina) of Sumner, grandchildren; Jamie Pritchard (Kim), Thomas Monk, Lauren Boyett (Josh), Johnathan Jenkins, Savannah Jenkins and Hunter Jenkins, and great grandchild Laurie Pritchard.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Jenkins on November 11, 2006 and a daughter Mitzi J. Maye on January 29, 2003.

Pallbearers included, Jamie Pritchard, Thomas Monk, Jonathan Jenkins, Hunter Jenkins, Joey Walker, Scott Patterson and Josh Boyett.
