Mrs. Clarice Carmichael Helms, 90, of Sylvester died Thursday June 27, 2019 at Pruitt Health Care in Sylvester.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday June 30, 2019 at the First Baptist Church Sylvester. The Rev. Donnie Duncan and Rev. Steve Purnell will officiate.
Mrs. Helms was born on April 7, 1929 in Tifton, GA to the late Homer and Mable Marchant Carmichael. She lived in Worth County most of her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Helms enjoyed playing golf and cards. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the WMU, Witness Sunday School Class. She was also a former Sunday School Teacher and long time choir member.
Survivors include her sons, James Kerry Helms (Margaret) and Richard Ashley Helms (Kim) all of Sylvester; grandchildren, Beau Helms (Lisa), Katie Helms Blanton (Carly), Rick Helms (Jana), Brady Hart and Garrett Hart; great grandchildren, Kara Marie Helms and Laken Micah Helms.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Helms was preceded in death by her husband, James Shelby Helms on April 28, 1998 and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ashley Helms.
The family will receive friends on Sunday following the service in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
