Kent Dowling, a former Statesboro resident and GSU alum, and a lifelong musician has joined forces with Harvest Studios in Sylvester. Dowling is currently a member of the Bo Henry Band, a group that’s been a staple of the SE college/private party circuit for over 15 years, and one of the founding members of Ella Speed, a successful regional band that was formed in the ‘Boro in the mid 90s.
He has shared the stage with many well-known acts – among them Zac Brown Band, Blackberry Smoke, Drive-By Truckers, Phillip Phillips, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He’s even worked as occasional sideman for Nashville hit-writing team The Peach Pickers and CMA winner Tracy Byrd. His live production client list includes work with #1 country artist John Berry, American Idol finalist Melinda Doolittle, and Grammy award winner Taj Mahal, as well as session work with legendary Capricorn Records producer/engineer Paul Hornsby, among others.
